Obituary

Pedro Lugo Santiago, 84 of New Haven died peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. Pedro was born in Yaoco, Puerto Rico on October 13, 1933, a son of the late Enrique Lugo and the late Emilia Santiago. He had resided in New Haven for the past fifteen years. While in Puerto Rico, Pedro worked construction for many years. He is survived by two daughters, Carmen Lugo and her husband Julio Santiago of Camden, NJ and Maritza Lugo and her husband Hector Rivera of New Haven, one son, Pedro Enriquez Lugo and his wife Paolina Roman of Lawrence, MA, one brother, Otilio Lugo of Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, nine grandchildren, Pedro, Carmen and Ingrid Damiani, Pedro E. Lugo, and Evelis and Anthony Lugo, and Omar, Henry and Christian Rivera, fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters, Rosa, Eva and Estela Lugo, and three brothers, José, Rosario and Heriberto Lugo.

Pedro's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, November 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place on Monday, November 27th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com.
