Obituary

Marion Welz Lindsay, 95 of Hamden died peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Whitney Manor, Hamden with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert E. Lindsay. Marion was born in New Haven on June 4, 1922, a daughter of the late Carl and Rebecca Nourse Welz, and had resided in Hamden since 1952. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of New Haven. Marion is survived by two sons, Albert Lindsay and his wife Carol of North Haven and Carl "Buddy" Lindsay and his wife Susan of Hamden, five grandchildren, Crystal Macauley and her husband Daniel, and Lisa Biase of North Haven, Michael and Daniel Lindsay of Hamden, and Vincent Pastore and his wife Myra of Milford, one great grandson, Brian Lindsay, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grandson, Brian Lindsay, one sister, Betsy Ann Jankowski, and three brothers, Albert, Carl and Ricahrd Welz.

Marion's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Tuesday, February 13th at 9:45 a.m. for a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. in St. John's Episcopal Church, 3 Trumbull Place, North Haven. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
