Obituary

Louise Ann Cappabianca Scarpa, 90 of Hamden passed away peacefully at the Hamden Health Care Center after a short illness on Thursday, October 13, 2016. She was the beloved wife of sixty eight years to William Scarpa. Louise was born in Derby on October 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna Saldamarco Cappabianca. She had resided in Derby for most of her life, and in Hamden for the past twenty two years. She is also survived by a daughter, Nancy (Kevin) Daly of Littleton, CO, a son, William F. Scarpa of Macon, GA, three grandchildren, Jennifer Scarpa of Macon, GA, Megan (Ronald) DePoty of Littleton, CO, and Justin (Jennifer) Daly of Levittown, PA, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews including Peggy Ofiero of Danbury and Judy Cirillo of Fairfield.

THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Saturday, October 29 for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private Memorial contributions in Louise's name may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 18 Canton St., Stoughton, MA 02072, or online at svdpinfo@svdpboston.org/donate.
