Cristina Acierto Acevedo, 75 of New Haven died peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford after a long illness and with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Roberto Acevedo. Cristina was born in Manila, Philippines on May 2, 1942, a daughter of the late Tranquilino and Patricia Baje Acierto, and had resided in New Haven for the past fifteen years. In addition to her husband, Cristina is survived by two sons, Vidal Acevedo of New Haven and Arnold Acevedo of Manila, two daughters, Maricris Calderón, and Khristine Moral of Manila, three daughters in law, Abbie Acevedo of New Haven, and Ruth and Josephine Acevedo of Manila, two sons in law, Christopher Calderón and Alberto Moral of Manila, one sister, Librada Barone of Manila, seven grandchildren, Angelo Acevedo of Southington, Nikki Acevedo of New Haven, and Darrell, Angel, Mitch and Adrían Acevedo of Manila, and Nicole Moral, also of Manila, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by one son, Romero Acevedo, one daughter, Ada Acevedo, two brothers, Wilfredo and Elpidio Acierto, and three sisters, Filomena Eustaquio, Hermina Acierto, and Luisa Antonio.

Cristina's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 24th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
