Obituary for Julia Pérez Hernandez

Julia Pérez Hernandez, 93 of New Haven died peacefully on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side. Julia was born Guayama, Puerto Rico on August 27, 1925, a daughter of the late Ramón Pérez and the late Ana Maria Hernandez. She had resided in Puerto Rico or most of her life before moving to New Haven three years ago. Julia is survived by five grandchildren, Carmen Pacheco of the Bronx, NY, Wanda Castoire of Pennsylvania, Hector Cordero of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Johannie Resto of Ohio and Arelis Resto of Hamden. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carmen E. Váldez, and one grandson, Victor Pacheco. Funeral services for Julia were held in Rio Piedras. The Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven was entrusted with local arrangements. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
