Miguel A. Mont, 73 of New Haven died peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lydia Lugo Mont. Miguel was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on July 7, 1945, a son of the late Timoteo Mont and the late Natividad Torres, and had resided in New Haven for the past fifty five years. He was a truck driver for the former Globe Metal Co. of New Haven for twenty years, retiring twenty years ago. Besides his wife, Miguel is survived by two sons, José M. Mont of Syracuse, NY and Juan A. Mont of New Haven, four grandchildren, Jessilyn Ortiz, Alisha and Lisette Mont and Joathan Smith Mont, and many brothers and sisters. Miguel's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 1st from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
