We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ms. Aleen. I pray for comfort, peace, and understanding for the Edwards family at this difficult time. I will always remember how Ms. Aleen treated everyone with respect and kindness. My family was truly blessed by her generosity and welcoming spirit when we lived in New Haven. I will forever cherish the times she shared stories and life lessons when I was a brand new teacher in New Haven.

I have fun memories of Aleen that take me back to our high school days. I remember the time I was asked to spell Hawaii and I corrected myself and she laughs out loud and said you spelled it right the first time.
She was always pleasant, polite and gracious.
