Condolence & Memory Journal

I am sad to hear that Maureen had passed away. I had the opportunity to work with her for a couple of years and truly feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know her. She was a beautiful person and will be missed. Freida McClain

"We are very sad to hear of Maureen's passing. She was a great person, loved her dogs and a great neighbor."

We were so sad to hear of Maureen's passing. She will always remain in our hearts. Memories of our weekly walks together at Lake Wintergreen, of Maureen making gingerbread houses with our daughter Rebecca every year, and her genuine love her dogs will akways make us smile. She was more than a neighbor when we lived in Hamden, she was a true friends who we loved dearly. We send our love, sympathy and prayers to all of her family and friends.

Maureen brought such happiness to our childhood and created many memories for all of us. Her "slightly shy" curiosity and humor are unforgettable. The "Texas Salehs" wish that we could be there to share stories and sing the old songs ("Oh, I wish I were an ... Oscar Meyer Weiner") and a few heartfelt smiles. We are thankful for all of the "Connecticut Salehs" who have taken care of Maureen in both health and sickness.

Gidge will be greatly missed by our family, her friends and those at the town of Hamden. She was a gentle and kind soul who loved her family, friends and four legged buddies. She had beautiful gardens in her backyard and was a great family picnic entertainer. We had lots of great fun growing up together in a wonderful family.
It won't be the same without Gidge, but she will always remain a loving light and special soul in our hearts!
Hope the reunion was great.
