Edward William McKay, 66, of Hamden died peacefully on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of thirty two years to Laura Fazzone McKay. Ed was born in Lynn, MA on February 15, 1952, a son of the late Edward A. and Doris McKay and had resided in Hamden for more than thirty two years. He was a reservationist for American Airlines for over fifteen years until retiring due to illness in 1993. Ed is also survived by two loving daughters, Brianna R. McKay of Greensboro, NC and Chelsea L. McKay of Bethany, one sister, Kathy Piercy of Salem, MA, one brother, Kenneth P. McKay of Lynn, his father and mother in law, Lawrence and Isabelle Fazzone of Hamden, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Ed's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, Nov. 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m., the Rev. Joseph Napolitano officiating. Burial will be private. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com

Laura, Chelsea, Brianna, Fuzzy and Isabelle and all Ed's Family and Friends. My Deepest Sympany to all of you. Laura, you. Were the best wife any Husband could have asked for,. Ed always had a Friendly manner and a smile on his face, despite his illnesses over the years. I always recall when h e was well and all his shopping he so loved to do, I saw him many times out and about. What I saw h im at Elm a year ago, he was smiling and I was so glad he remembered me. I know how difficult this is, I feel your pain, if there is anything I can do for any of you, please know I am here. Sending many Hugs.... XO
