Maria Risoli Berardi, 81 of Hamden passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Francesco Berardi. Maria was born in Caselle in Pittari, province of Salerno, Italy on April18, 1937, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa Del Bene Risoli and had resided in Hamden for the past fifty two years. She worked for the former Mite Corp. of New Haven for many years retiring in 1998. Maria is survived by her loving children Gilda Berardi, Rosa (Paul) Darcy, Lydia (Jeff) Rowe, Domenic Berardi and Frank (Sharon) Berardi, all of Hamden, one loving sister, Michelina Risoli, two loving brothers, Gino (Ida) Risoli and Domenico "Mimmo" (Rosaria) Risoli, all of Italy, five treasured grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kaitlyn, Jimmy and Kelsey Darcy and Tyler Rowe, her loving sister in law, Maria Salamone, one beloved brother in law, Vincenzo Salamone, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one beloved sister, Antonetta Risoli, two beloved brothers, Nicola and Giuseppe Risoli, two beloved sisters in law, Michelina Risoli and Rosa Risoli, and two beloved brothers in law, Michael Salamone and Anthony Berardi. Maria's family will receive realtives and friends on Sunday, October 28th at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Monday, October 29th at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Bread of Life Parish, Blessed Sacrament Church, Hamden. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden. Memorial contributions in Maria's name may be made to Christ the Bread of Life Parish, 321 Circular Ave., Hamden, CT 06514.

My thoughts and prayers to the Berardi family, I am saddened to hear about the loss of Mom Berardi, there are a lot of loving memories i have shared and will remember. You all where and are my other family, a lot of good times, good food and a lot of love. She will be missed but she and Dad Berardi are together again. May she RIP.
