Within minutes of meeting Ed at SNET in 1980, I learned that we shared Pomona as our alma mater and math as our major. Ed's great sense of humor and amazing mastery of technology made him a wonderful person to work with. And his ability to eat cold pizza (saved from late night work sessions) at our 8am meetings was legendary. My thoughts and prayers to all of you. Rest in peace, fellow Sagehen.
